Troubleshooting Wallet Connection Issues on JPG Store

Troubleshoot wallet connection issues on JPG Store with these simple fixes.

Updated this week

Overview

Having trouble connecting your wallet to JPG Store? If the Connect Wallet button is stuck on a spinning icon (as shown in the image below), it may indicate a connection issue with your wallet. This can happen due to cached browser data, VPN interference, or an issue with your wallet’s DApp permissions.

Fortunately, there are a few simple steps you can take to resolve the issue and reconnect your wallet successfully. Follow this guide to troubleshoot and fix wallet connection problems.

Common Wallet Connection Issues & Fixes

1. Restart Your Browser or Device

Sometimes, the easiest solution is to restart your browser or device to clear temporary issues. Try the following:

  • Fully close your browser and reopen it.

  • If the issue persists, restart your device and try connecting again.

2. Disable VPN & Try Again

If you are using a VPN, it may interfere with your wallet’s ability to connect to JPG Store.

  • Try disabling your VPN.

  • Refresh the page and attempt to connect your wallet again.

3. Clear JPG Store From Your Wallet’s DApp List

Many Cardano wallets keep a DApp whitelist or DApp allowlist, which automatically remembers sites you’ve previously connected to. Sometimes, clearing JPG Store from this list can resolve wallet connection problems.

Steps to Remove JPG Store From Your Wallet’s DApp List:

  • Open your wallet settings and locate the section labeled DApps, DApp Connections, or Connected Sites (the name varies by wallet).

  • Some wallets allow manually selecting DApps to remove, while others provide a clear all option.

  • Remove JPG Store from the list and then refresh JPG Store in your browser.

  • Try reconnecting your wallet—this will require signing the connection again, just like the first time.

4. Clear Your Browser Cache and History

If your browser stores outdated or corrupted data, it can prevent a successful wallet connection. Try clearing your cache:

  • Open your browser’s settings and navigate to Clear Browsing Data.

  • Select Cookies and Cached Files (you do not need to clear saved passwords).

  • Restart your browser and attempt to connect your wallet again.

Still Having Issues?

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try the following:

  • Update your wallet extension to the latest version.

  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, etc.).

  • Disable any conflicting browser extensions (like ad blockers).
