I sent an NFT/Funds to a smart contract or ADA Handle

What happens if I mistakenly send my funds or NFTs to a smart contract? Can jpg.store send them back to me?

Unfortunately due to the non-custodial nature of our smart contracts, we lack access to the NFTs listed on our marketplace or funds manually sent to our smart contract wallets. This design is a security measure aimed at safeguarding user assets. When funds or NFTs are manually sent to our smart contract wallet, they are not directly linked to any actions within the jpg.store marketplace or associated smart contracts and sadly are non-retrievable.

What are Smart Contracts?

Smart contracts are automated computer programs on the blockchain that enforce predetermined rules using "if this, then that" logic. They facilitate the operation of NFTs and dApps by executing transactions according to their coded instructions. The purchase and sale of NFTs through jpg.store are driven by smart contracts.

What can I do to prevent this?

Never send any NFTs or funds to a $handle that is listed on the marketplace.

It's essential to double or even triple check the address in which you are sending your NFTs or funds to.
