Updated over a week ago

Overview

If you need to migrate your NFT collection from JPG Store to another minting platform, you can export your collection’s policy keys. These keys allow you to retain control over the collection when using a different minting service.

⚠️ Warning: Exporting your collection keys gives access to the policy used to mint your NFTs. Keep them secure and never share them with anyone you do not trust.

How to Export Your Collection Keys

Follow these steps to export your NFT collection keys:

Step 1: Navigate to Your Creations

  1. Connect your creator wallet to JPG Store.

  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right.

  3. Select the Creations tab.

Step 2: Access the Collection Minting Dashboard

  1. Locate the collection you want to export.

  2. Click the Mint Setup button next to the collection.

Step 3: Export the Keys

  1. In the Collection Dashboard, find the Export Keys button.

  2. Click Export Keys to download a JSON file containing your collection’s policy keys.

What’s Inside the Exported JSON File?

The downloaded JSON file will contain the following details:

  • Policy ID – The unique identifier for your collection.

  • Policy Script – The script defining how the policy works.

  • Signing Key – The private key used for minting.

  • Public Key – The verification key.

This information is essential for minting NFTs under the same policy on another platform.

Using Your Exported Keys on Another Minting Platform

Once you have the JSON file, follow the instructions on your new minting provider to import the collection. Each platform may have a different process, so be sure to check their documentation.

Final Notes

  • Keep Your Keys Secure: Anyone with access to your signing key can mint NFTs under your collection.

  • Do Not Share Publicly: Only use your keys on platforms you trust.

  • Lost Keys Cannot Be Recovered: JPG Store does not store or recover exported keys.
