How to Update the Creator Wallet Linked to Your Collection

Why Update Your Creator Wallet?

The creator wallet is essential for managing your collection on JPG Store. This wallet allows you to make updates to your collection’s information, royalties, and other details. If you need to change the wallet associated with your collection, the process is simple and handled via a request on X (formerly Twitter).


Steps to Change the Wallet Connected with Your Collection

  1. Prepare the New Wallet Address:

    • Ensure the new wallet you want to associate with your collection is not a hardware wallet. JPG Store currently does not support hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor for this feature.

    • Make sure the wallet has a valid stake key. You can verify this by searching the wallet address on Cardanoscan and checking for a "Controlled Stake Key" under the wallet details.

  2. Send a Request on X (Twitter):

    • From your project’s official X account, send a direct message (DM) to @jpgstorelist.

    • Include the following details in your message:

      • Collection Name: The name of your NFT collection.

      • Policy ID: The unique policy ID of your collection.

      • New Wallet Address: The address of the new wallet you want to associate with your collection.

    • Clearly request that you would like to change the creator wallet associated with your collection.

  3. Wait for Confirmation:

    • The JPG Store team will review your request and confirm the update via a reply to your DM. This process may take up to 48-72 hours.

  4. Verify the New Wallet Connection:

    • Once the update is confirmed, connect to JPG Store with the new wallet.

    • Check that your collection appears in the Creations tab of your profile. If it does, the wallet update has been successfully completed.


Important Notes:

  • You must send the wallet update request from the official X account associated with your project. This is required to verify ownership and avoid delays.

  • Only one wallet can be connected with a collection at a time. Updating the wallet will replace the previous one.

  • If you face any issues or need further assistance, send a follow-up DM to @jpgstorelist.
