Finding Trending Tokens

The Trending Tokens page on Comet allows you to discover the most active tokens on the Cardano blockchain, ranked by trading volume. The page provides multiple time-based filters, including:

  • 1 Hour

  • 4 Hours

  • 1 Day

  • 5 Minutes

  • 30 Minutes

Tokens are ranked by volume within the selected time frame, making it easy to spot high-activity tokens.

📌 Tip: New tokens with high volume may indicate growing interest, but always conduct your own research before trading.

Exploring the New Token Feed

The New Token Feed on Comet is powered by Snek.fun, a launchpad that provides fair token launches on Cardano without pre-sales, team allocations, or investor advantages. This feed displays the latest tokens launched, sorted from newest to oldest.

🔍 Where to Find It: Navigate to the Home tab in the Comet app and select the NEW filter to view the most recently launched tokens.

Searching for Tokens

Comet’s Search feature allows you to look up specific tokens using:

  • Token name

  • Ticker

  • Policy ID

  • Token ID

The search tab also displays:

  • Recent searches, with an option to clear history.

  • Top 24-hour volume tokens for quick discovery of the most actively traded assets.

📌 Tip: Searching by Policy ID ensures you’re looking at the correct token, avoiding imposters or scam tokens.

FAQ

How are tokens ranked on the Trending Tokens page?

Tokens are ranked by trading volume within the selected time frame. The highest-volume tokens appear at the top.

Can I see token price changes in real time?

Yes, Comet updates token data continuously, providing real-time price changes and trading activity.

How do I verify new tokens before trading?

Newly launched tokens on Snek.fun appear instantly in Comet, but they do not go through an automatic verification process. To help assess a token's legitimacy before trading:

  • Check if the token is verified on DexHunter – Verified tokens on DexHunter have undergone additional checks, but keep in mind that new tokens may take time to complete the verification process.

  • Confirm the Policy ID – Always verify that the token’s Policy ID matches the official one shared by the project on Twitter, Discord, or its website.

  • Be cautious of copycats – Scam tokens may use similar names, tickers, or logos to impersonate legitimate projects.

While verification tools can help, always DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before trading any token.
